Sorry for the Long Radio Silence...
...but between moving house in late December and some recent medical issues (all is well, just been exhausting from the multiple appointments and all), I have been spending all my spare time trying to figure out this story I've been banging my head against.

But finally I've shaken free from the writing-related miasma. What did I do? Gave into the inevitable and put the story into first person. I'd been struggling to write in third person, but my natural writing style seems to be first, and once I let myself write in first person, the words began to flow again.

So I guess the rule is, give up on third person, at least for now. Go with what feels most natural, most comfortable, and just let the character drive.

Congrats on the move, though that sort of thing is always draining, which is why I make a point of not doing so until it's unavoidable. LOL

Glad the medical stuff worked out in your favor, too. As stressful as it is running about and such, it sort of helps when it turns out to be for something that's less serious that it might have been, huh? *grins*

As for writing in 1st... *shudders* SO not my area. I'm somewhat the opposite, in point of fact. Very comfy in third and I have HUGE issues when I try writing in first. *chuckles*

Looking forward to eventually reading whatever it is you're working on, and congrats (again) for figuring your way from the slump!

Glad you're feeling better and glad you've found your voice again.
First person...My first m/m story was told primarily in first person, so go for it!
